A letter is an important means of communication. Formal letters should be types out accurately. A dull or confusing letter makes a letter difficult to read. 

Golden Rules of Writing a letter
1. Give your letter a heading. Readers can understand easily.
2. Put each idea in a seperate paragraph.
3. Use short words that everyone can understand.
4. Use short sentences. 
Points to remember when writing a letter

Informal Letter Writing 
Informal writing does not follow precise rules of Grammar.Friendly letters, personal emails, invitation, thank-you notes and greetings are in Informal letter. 
Writing a Post Card
A Post Card is written for personal purposes using informal language. It is addressed to family members or friends. It contains brief information and it is personal. To share brief information Post Card writing is apt for writers. 
Formal letter Writing 
A formal or business letter is written in three-paragraph format. When writing a formal letter we must be careful about our language. The tone of the letter should not be casual or personal.
