Brief Story On Shakespeare's Othello Shakespeare’s Othello is described as a tragedy of passion. This play is most exciting and the most tragic play. The seed of suspicion is sown in the minds of Othello by Iago. He poisons the heart of Othello. The Moor, Othello is not jealous, but he shows a mind which is ready to become jealous. A trustworthy husband will not suspect a wife. But Othello listens to Iago. Iago tells Othello that Desdemona deceived her father by marrying him. This poison the mind of Othello. Iago cunningly conveys his plan claiming bad about Venetian women. He tells that they are good in cheating their husbands. He claims Desdemona as a good actress. He insists Othello to be watchful. Othello feels an inferior man. The dangerous ideas in his head “burn like the mines of Sulphur”. He feels tortured by jealousy. Othello starts to believe the story of Iago about Cassio. Othello sees Cassio wiping his beard with the handkerchief which he has gifted
