                        Simple Sentence 

Simple Sentence has a Subject and a Predicate
It consists of a independent clause. 
Eg. She Sings.(Simple Sentence) 

 How to construct a simple sentence? 
i) Requires a subject and a verb. It also needs direct and indirect objects.
 ii) Simple sentence can also be longer.
 For eg: Clara taught herself how to play the piano.   This is a simple sentence. 
It has two verbs taught and play, but has one subject.
 It is an independent clause. 
No additional clauses. 
So it is a simple sentence.

 When a simple sentence becomes more complex.
 Eg: Clara wanted to play the piano (independent clause) , so ( coordinating conjunction) she taught herself (independent clause). 
In this sentence we have two independent clause so it is not a simple sentence.
 This sentence is connected by a coordinating conjunction so.
 This sentence is a compound sentence. 

 What are the components of simple sentence?
The components of simple sentences are i)Subject ii)Predicate
 Subject : Subject can be a noun (Dog, Cat, Rama, Kanyakumari) , pronoun (he, she, it, they, we) or a noun phrase (A tall beautiful girl). 

Predicate: It explains the subject. The predicate includes verb, complement, object, modifiers.
 Simple sentences
 I) The child sings.
 Subject is The child. 
 Predicate is sings
 2)The blue sky shines beautifully. 
 3) The large fluffy dog barked loudly in the yard.
