 Habitation Habitation is a poem written by Margaret Atwood. It was published in the year 1978 (Two-Headed poems). This poem explores the nature of marriage and relationships. Atwood argues that marriage is not a physical space. It is a complex relationship between two people that is constantly evolving and changing.
